The subject area of the plan lays in between a pedestrian precinct and a shopping mall. The goal of the planned white band is to force itself on people’s attention, like a traffic sign, and thus lead them from the busy boulevard to the esplanade and the shopping mall, inside the block. The band – running in the road surface level and lifted higher above here and there - follows passers-by through the whole of the area. Dynamic, extravagant and sexy, this white band invites you through and into the city block. It creates a unique atmosphere so far unknown in this city, re-defines the area and creates an entrance hall to the Corvin shopping mall.
The band is a multifunctional object; it includes street lights, commercials and information surfaces, thus it supersedes any other street furniture.
